Everton have completed their fourth signing of the summer, drafting in experienced German goalkeeper Stefan Wessels. The 28-year-old keeper arrives at Goodison on a free after leaving FC Cologne.
The former Bayern Munich player will provide additional competition for the goalkeeping jersey at Everton.
He told evertonfc.com: "I am excited to be here in England. It is the first time I have played for a club outside of Germany but the English Premier League is a very exciting league and I am looking forward to my time here at Everton."
Wessels has signed an initial one-year contract with the Blues and will wear number 33.
He is the Club's fourth signing of the summer following the acquisition of Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and fellow former Bundesliga man Steven Pienaar.
